Please plan to open & refrigerate or freeze any perishable items immediately. Shipments from Southside Market & Barbeque are shipped fully frozen and packed with dry ice to ensure proper food safety temperatures during transit. It is not unusual for the dry ice to completely dissipate prior to it arriving at your doorstep. The slow evaporation of the dry ice is a natural and expected part of the process. All meats should still arrive cool to the touch and be refrigerated immediately upon receipt. Provided the vacuum seal is not broken, fully Smoked Meats & Sausages will stay good in the refrigerator for up to 90 days from the pack date and good in the freezer for up to 6 months. Shelf life of Fresh (raw) sausage is 10-12 days in the refrigerator and 6 months in the freezer.
