Our Pork Steaks have long been a local legend. They are so well-liked, there are other BBQ joints who offer them today strictly based on the popularity and reputation of Southside’s own top quality Pork Steaks. This passion for pork steaks is very specific to the Central Texas region. Cut from the Boston Butt, it is the same cut other places use for pulled pork. In Central Texas, we prefer steaks! Available in 2, 4 or 6 steak packages.

Gluten Free. No MSG.

Cooked weight:
Approx. 1.5-2 lbs. Total for two steaks.
Steaks are packaged individually.

    While you are usually able to get most of the other meats smoked similarly to Southside (except Slammers and mutton ribs) at other bbq places, the pork steak sets Southside apart from almost every other bbq place. I drive to Bastrop (or Elgin) to just get the pork steak because it is so amazing. I also bring about 4-7 steaks home for future days ever time I visit.

    big enough for 2 people, you have to like pepper, its spicy and take your time warm it on low heat like 300 f 30 minutes. but juicy tasty tender. being a yankee i never had this before , but i will rebuy this often.

    Just got done eating one and had to come and review it and drool over their other meats.

    I’m a former central Texan living in Michigan and you just can’t find this stuff around here. I had ordered their sausages before and I saw these and thought I would give them a try.

    The meat is incredibly juicy, I think the pictures don’t do it justice, and they are quite thick steaks. It’s really a good deal because each one can feed two people.

    OMG I am a foodie you will die and go to heaven. I live outside of philly no one makes this but taxes. I smoke meat and can’t do this. Make sure you have it with coleslaw. And mash. The price is right. It has pork belly on one side. Which will melt in your mouth. It’s a special cut.

    I just had my first Pork Steak and it was fantastic! Like a bone-in Chop pounded out and heavily hickory smoked. So tender and absolutely outstanding flavors. If you like Pork and smoke, this is for you!

    Loved these! They are fully cooked so they’re easy to cook. Delicious, tender, fatty, in other ways, the way a good pork steak should be. Has enough run to eat by itself or can toss on some BBQ sauce. Definitely worth ordering these for a quick convenient supper. I have bbq places nearby that serve pork steak, but I like this one more. This was my first order of them (I ordered 4), but I’ll definitely order more.
